Where do I place my 42 inch flat screen TV in my difficult living room?
Help! We just moved in. We have about an 18 by 15 foot living room. West wall is dominated by large 3 large windows, North wall is dominated by a huge fireplace with surrounding shelves taking up the entire wall, East wall has two large doorless entries, and the South wall has a large doorless entry on the left side of the wall. Not sure where to place the TV. We can't mount it above the fireplace because its too high, the wall won't support the TV, and the TV is just too big. One option might be to place is on the wall opposite the fireplace but would it look strange to have everything facing the opposite way of the fireplace? I'm looking for ideas, websites, anything. Thanks!
Can i suggest you to consult TV installation company? they will provide you the best ever TV installation service......i had consulted them ....and they were just awesome.....they not only helped me mounting my TV on the wall as well guided me where to place the TV in my living area.......i consulted Nextday Techs.....check their website

My apartment was broken into ,what are my rights
the only one with the key is my landlord and there was no forced entry and i thought i had new locks installed when i moved in but now he tells me he took the locks from his other building and switched to save expenses ,well now my 1300 hundred dollar 42 inch hi-def television has been stolen ,how do i know he did not steal it or allow someone else in to steal it and what should i do, he says the law says he has to have a key to the apartment but just because he is a landlord does not mean he is not a theif? i cant prove if he took it or not, but he is only one with a key!
i live in chicago
You can't and I wouldn't accuse your landlord. You never know - it could have been a maintenance person. You need renter's insurance. If you didn't have that prior to the theft, there isn't much that can be done. You're out some money, unfortunately. But if you do have renter's you can claim it. But you HAVE to make a police report. At least you will have a number to refer to if you have insurance.
Which of these two brick lights should I use in the brick columns I am building?
I am trying to decide which of these two brick lights to use in the brick columns I am building by my driveway and walkway, and how many of them.
My entryway sidewalk is 42 inches wide and my single car driveway gate opening is 10 feet. At first I had thought to use 4 of these brick lights in the columns on either side of the walkway and driveway, for balance and appearance.
What do you think, would one light for each entry way be enough? And of these two manufacturers, which seems the best value/ design? Both use 110V. The Halo uses a 20 W incandescent lamp and the Xenon has a built in transformer for 12V LED light.
Halo Brick Light $78

Xenon Brick light $62

It's not actually an LED light, but it is a smaller wattage xenon bulb so will use less energy and should require less maintenance due to the longer life bulbs. You have some color choices with the Xenon brand and it looks a bit more modern too. As far as quantity, since these don't cast light vary far or wide you may want to plan one in every other brick or maybe two bricks in between them. So it's going to depend on how wide your the columns are to determine how many lights to install. You'll want to put them on two sides of the columns at the walkway to illuminate the driveway and sidewalk areas at that point.
